Family Update

Hi everyone..now that we have been using Facebook I had forgotten all about our family blog shame on us. I know there are many of you that don't use facebook so this update is for you.

We have been very busy as usually, let me start off with our Princess Lindsey. She is getting so big, she will be 20 months old in a few weeks. She is running all over the place and gets into everything, we call her a little monkey she is just like her dad very curious. Lindsey really enjoys reading in her little chair, she says a few words but is not fully talking. She is a very smart kid and loves learning we are just having a tough time getting her to talk but it will come in no time and once that happens I have been told to watch out. She has become a picky eater in the last few months she does not like meat at all, once in a while she will eat chicken but it's a hit or miss with her. She loves her fruit and vegetables and her milk too. She is now using her own fork and spoon to eat she still likes to dump her bowl or plate all over her tray and eat off that which is okay with us but it can sometimes be very messy. She is still drinking out of a sippy cup as well as cups with straws. She is now wearing 18 month clothing and has so many clothes from her cousins, her closet is over flowing...but to be honest a princess can't have too many clothes..right?

Rich has been very busy with work as usually which is a very good thing. His company did layoffs last month which was very hard on everyone, we are so thankful that his job was not affected but it does mean more work. But he has seemed to adjust very well and is a very hard worker. He is still going to the gym 5 day's a week I think it is keeping him sane from all the craziness at work. He is becoming a lean machine, he loves working and is looking really good...he's my HOTTIE!

As for me I'm still working part time from home with Honeywell from 10am to 2pm. They switched my schedule around the end of June which was extremely stressful for us. I was not sure what to do with Lindsey since it was the middle of the day so my brother Sam came out from Vegas and stayed with us for about a month to help out with Lindsey. He was awesome and such a big help for us we really appreciated all of his help and Lindsey really grew attached to him. After my brother left we created a play room for her next to my office upstairs that has a TV, DVD player and a bunch of toys for her to play with. She has adjusted very well to my new schedule like all kids she has her off days but enjoys watching movies and playing with her toy's. There are times I'm on the phone and I can hear her banging on the wall next me and I just crack up...you would think there were like 10 kids in the room with her. The nice part is that she usually naps 2 out of the 4 hours I work which is nice. I'm still running and going to the gym trying to workout at least 4 to 5 day's a week. I have done very well with my weight loss, I'm doing everything on my own with the help of my wonderful hubby. I started at 245 pounds and now down to 182 pounds as of last Sunday, I only have 32 more pounds to loss to reach my goal weight so I'm very proud of my self and all that I have done. There are no secrets as to what I'm doing just eating right and working out, those two really go hand and hand. Rich and I will be running our first half marathon which is 13.2 miles in January called the P.F. Chang's Rock n' Roll Marathon, here is a full and half marathon. We are only doing the half, we will start our training for this in September and will keep everyone updated as the date gets closer. We are very excited about this race.

Travelling - We took a trip to Vegas to visit mom, Bill and Sam in June. Rich was on a business trip so he flew in and meet us in Vegas so it was my first trip driving with Lindsey on my own. My brother was with us and was very helpful with feeding Lindsey and changing out her movies on her DVD player. She did very well in the car, cried a few times but over all she was awesome. We had a great time hanging out with the family and gambling, we didn't win this time but we will be going back to get our money!

It has been a really hot summer for us here in Arizona, some day's it's been as high as 115 which is just crazy. We have been utilizing family and friends pools to try and stay cool. Lindsey loves the pool she is not swimming yet but just enjoys the water. About a month ago we took a day trip to go Hiking in Payson which is about 2 hours from where we live, it was so awesome. It was about 90 degree's during our hike but there where times we were in the shade and a nice cool breeze came and we would just stand there and take it all in. We bought a backpack for Lindsey so Rich had her on his back and I had the camel back with all the water and snacks for us. We hiked just over 4 miles that day, Lindsey got so tired that she feel asleep half way through our hike. I have pictures of her on our family photo website. After our hike we drive a little further up the hill and found a nice shady spot threw down the back tailgate of the truck and had a really nice picnic it was around 82 degree's when we were eating lunch. It was so awesome to get away for the day and enjoy nice weather and be out of the heat. After our hike we headed to the airport to pick up Grandma Vegas as she was going to be our house guest for a week. Grandma and Grandpa Vegas are coming for another visit tomorrow for a few day's we are very excited to see them and can't wait to spend sometime together as a family.

Well that is the scoop for now on the Weiss Family. I have updated our family photo site with new pictures from the last few months so we hope you enjoy them. We hope all is well with everyone and your family and we miss and love you all very much. Take care!

Lots of Love,

Chantelle, Richard, Lindsey and Cody
