Well as you can see from the title, Chantelle and I are new parents!!!! Lindsey Faye Weiss was born on December 16th, 2007 at 9:13am. She weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 13oz!! Mom and baby are doing well, they are both resting and recovering when they can. Unfortunately mom had to have a c-section so her recovery time will be slightly longer.
We are at Chandler Regional Hospital in AZ and the picture of the baby should be on their website by tomorrow. Thank you everyone for the visits, calls, and best wishes. It truly did help as the laboring part of this pregnancy was very difficult. After Chantelle fully dialted, she started to run a fever and the pulse of the baby went to over 200+ bpm. Unfortunately after many attempts and time the tempature and pulse did not break so they had to do an emergency c-section. It was succesfully and everyone is ok, but unfortunately Chantelle almost had to go both types of deliveries for one child!! We should be home Wednesday of this week. A special thank you goes out to my sister Michelle. She has been with us since 11pm on Saturday (we got there at 7:30pm on Saturday). She stayed there all night with us until the baby was born. As some of you might already know, Michelle also has a child that was born on December 16th, Madison. She stayed with us until midday on Sunday even though it was her childs birthday and she wasn't even there when she woke up. Thank you so much for everything you have done thus far, Chantelle and I really appreciate it, and we both love you.
If you would like to e-mail Chantelle, you may do so at scoobies48@yahoo.com, or myself at twytch@cox.net.
Here is a picture of myself and the baby, plenty more will be posted soon so stay tuned!!!
Welcome to the Weiss blog! This will contain information regarding everything from our life and what is new with our family. Stay tuned!!!

Due Date Tomorrow
Sorry everyone that I haven't posted much lately, I actually didn't think people were checking but I am coming to find out that some are!!!
Well we have a doctors appointment today at 4:20pm. There is a good chance the doctor might induce us tomorrow or this weekend if she doesn't go into labor by tonight. Things are coming along pretty well, the baby is coming along very well, everything looks great according to the doctor. Chantelle is really starting to feel the pain, with her back and everywhere else basically. Don't worry family, I am trying my best to take care of her and keep her comfortable. Here are some pictures of the latest ultrasound, this was 2 weeks ago.
Let's see what else is new...not much else on my mind besides my little girl coming into this world. Oh yeh, I almost forgot!! Chantelle and I did purchase a new toy for the family, our Yamaha Wolverine. Below are pictures of that. In the background you can see my sisters Rhino as well, that thing is fun!!! More to come after the baby does...pictures and videos to follow!!!

Baby weighs 1 pound 9 ounces (709 grams). The bones are continuing their ossification process, meaning that they are becoming harder.
She is really starting to grow and I am taking pictures of some profile views. Stay tuned for some tummy pics!!!

Baby Girl Update
I will try to do weekly updates on Saturdays regarding this topic (as that is when Chantelle starts each week). Currently we are 22 1/2 weeks along, more than half way!!!
Here are some pictures of the ultrasound, http://picasaweb.google.com/twytch111/UltrasoundPictures
I will try to get some pictures loaded soon of Chantelle (probably from a side view). Haha!!
Things are going very well so far, if you don't already know (and couldn't tell by the topic), we did find out that we are going to have a girl......or should I start to say princess???? We are starting to look at furniture along with colors. Finally I get to come off the bench, and play a few innings (up to this point, I have gotten to sit back and watch, now I get to be involved).
I know some of you are already asking yourselves, what have they chosen for a name? Well I can tell you that we don't know, but once we find out, it will be posted. We aren't going to wait until the end to tell everyone. I can tell you though that we have chosen the letter "L" to be the first letter in the first name. This is to honor my late Uncle Leslie, who was dear to Chantelle and I.
Well I guess that is enough for this week, will update soon!!

K-9 Death in Chandler
Yesterday, August 13th, a K-9 dog was accidentally killed in Chandler, Arizona. Many of you might stop and think, it happens, why is this special???
The problem lies in the fact that this K-9 dog was killed by his own partner, not by an accidental gun shot, not by drowning in the line of duty, but by leaving the dog in his car. Should this police officer be prosecuted, fired, just given a slap on the wrist? Many people will claim it was a mistake, but if we look at some of the facts, I believe an investigation does need to take place. He left his dog in the car during a whole entire shift, this dog was left in the car for 12 hours, yes 12 hours. Could you imagine the panic and agonizing pain this dog went through?
Stay tuned for more....this is my first blog/post so I will be editing it a lot.
