We saw the knee specialist this morning and he said her knee looks good. There was no more fluid from what he could feel, he was able to move her leg around and saw improvement from her last visit. He said the muscles were still tight around the joint of the knee and recommended that she go to physical therapy for about 6 weeks to see if we can strength the knee back to normal.
We scheduled a follow up appointment for November 18th with the knee specialist so he can review her progress again and see what our next step is. We are finally moving in a positive direction and we are happy that she will soon be healed from this mess.
Thank you so much to everyone for all your support during this time, we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for all of us. We love you all!!!
Love,
Chantelle, Richard and Lindsey

Road Trip Continuation in Anaheim - Day 6
The day has finally arrived for our little princess Lindsey as it was her first time going to Disneyland...I'm not sure who was more excited the adults or Lindsey...lol. We had a bit of a rough start in the morning but once we ate breakfast we were ready to go.
We took a shuttle from the Hotel to Disney in which we arrived around 10am, the weather was absolutley perfect in the low 80's with a mild breeze we could not have picked a perfect day to go. Our first stop was to get Lindsey a Tinker Bell autograph book and matching pen for all of the friends she was going to meet that day. We wanted to make sure we captured as many friends signatures and pictures as we could to help fill her book, we meet Mary Poppins and Bert, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Cruella Devile, Jasmine, Aladian, the chick monks and Goofy. We were not able to find Minnie Mouse or Tinker Bell as the park got very busy. Lindsey had a blast riding some of the ride, the flying Dumbo, the Tea Cups and It's a Small World boat ride. Rich and I got to ride Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain which was awesome. We did a single rider on one of the rides and fast pass on the other ride so we didn't have to wait it was great. We took a train ride around the park as we only had one day in Disney and did not have time to see everything. Lindsey had a blast, there was a lot of for her to see and it was a little over whelming but she had a lot of fun. It's too bad she won't remember any of it but we have a bunch of pictures for her to look back on. We enjoyed watching the Fireworks that night from our room as they were very loud.

Road Trip Continuation to LA & Anaheim - Day 5
We are off again heading out of the big city of San Francisco to our next destination. We left San Fran around 9am as we wanted to be on the road early. We drove on the big Bay bridge from San Fran to the city of Oakland, which I have to say was no great shakes. It seemed very old and run down so we decided to drive right through that town and didn't miss a thing.
We arrived in Los, Angela's California around 3:00pm. We didn't spend too much time in LA as the traffic was crazy. We did drive down part of Hollywood Blvd and got to see a bunch of the Hollywood stars on the side walks. We did pull over to take a few pictures of some of the stars including Johnny Cash and of course my favorite Elizabeth Taylor...I actually got on the ground next to that star to take a picture. We had the chance to go and see Howie's High school that he attended while growing up in LA that was really cool. We also drive to his old neighborhood that he grew up in as well...all the pictures are on our family website. The later we stayed in LA the worst the traffic got so we didn't stay to long.
We left LA around 4:30pm and arrived in Anaheim around 5:30pm which was perfect. It was so nice to arrive in a city that was clean and well kept but it was not a suprise as we were on the Disney grounds. We were all very excited about our stay as we were right next to the Disney park. We stayed at a really nice hotel that overlook the back of of Disney. We had the perfect view from our hotel room to see the Disney fireworks at night. We are all very excited for our big day at Disneyland tomorrow.

Road Trip to San Francisco - Day 4
Yesterday was another adventuress day, we had a lot planned for the day as it was our last day in San Fran before heading back home. To start our day Lindsey woke up not feeling well and had a fever so I decided to stay back with her while Rich, Pat and Howie (Pops) went for the tour to Alcatraz. The boat was leaving by 10am for the tour so we were all up early. Lindsey spent most of the day sleeping in the room while I was watching TV and played on our lap top to make the time go by.
When the gang came back from the tour, we took turns staying with Lindsey. Rich hung out with her and I went out with Pat and Howie (Pops) to go and see an old Ship Jeramie O'Brien. We took a tour around the ship, the best part was the engine room. The engines in this ship were the same engines used in the Titanic movie so that was really cool to see.
We pretty much just hung out in the hotel for the rest of evening as Lindsey was still not feeling well. It was nice to hang out and relax before getting back in the car tomorrow.

Road Trip to San Francisco - Day 3
So yesterday Wednesday (9/8) was our first full day in the big San Francisco city. Rich and I woke up around 7am and went for a nice morning run, it was chilly but the weather was absolutely perfect. I could not get over the views of the water and all the beautiful buildings. We did stop on one of the piers to view the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz, it was so awesome. We also found a really nice park in the city that had many other runners and bikers it was quite a run...one of the best runs I have ever had.
After getting ready we headed out for breakfast as we had a long day of touring a head of us. Our first stop was to the Blue Aquarium, Lindsey had a blast she loved looking at all the sea life including all the fishes. We got to see many cool creators including Sharks, Sting Ray's, Star Fishes and Jelly Fishes. We walked through two huge water tunnels which Lindsey loved and also got to touch Sting Ray's and Star Fishes.
Our next tour was the famous Sourdough Factory, which we got to sample fresh bread and it was yummy. Lindsey loved eating the bread she could not get enough of it. The bakery of this place was so cool it was huge and a landmark of the city. We ended up eating soup from this resturant and instead of using bowls they use round loafs of bread and put the soup in the middle of it, the best part is that that top of the bowl is bread which you can use to dunk. It was one of the best soups I have ever had. It was so nice to eat at a local resturant that was famous in the city, we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Our next adventure was called "Ride the Ducks" which was a bus tour around the big city as well as boat that toured around the bay. Yes a bus that turned into a boat it was so cool and we got little yellow quakers that we got to use while on the bus. The tour was 90 minutes long, it was an awesome tour and so worth it. We got to see a lot of San Francisco that we wouldn't have seen with the amount of time we had here so it was worth it. Lindsey was so wiped out that she feel asleep on grandma Pat after a half hour on the bus but I can say the rest of us enjoyed the tour.
After eating some lunch we decided we weren't done yet and that we wanted to ride a cable car and tour the famous Lombard Street...the most crookedest street in the world and boy was it ever. Well we ended up going to far out of our way to take the cable car to Lombard street so we decided to walk there instead...well let me tell you all I thought I was in shape until I climbed this street and realized I had leg muscles I never knew I had it was crazy. I was so glad to make it up that hill. The worst part is that Rich carried Lindsey up this 45 degree hill, he was exhausted. But we all made it and the view was worth it, it was incredible. Lombard Street is amazing the flowers made it so beautiful, it really was breath taking. We ended up riding the cable car on the way down which was so much fun. The car was packed so we didn't get to see much but it was still fun.
So by 7pm we were all very tired and decided to call it a night. We grabbed some dinner came back to the room and hung out for the rest of the evening. We were getting very excited for today as we were going to Alcatraz.

Lindsey Potty Training
Yes this mile stone has finally arrived....yahoo!!! Lindsey is finally being potty trained, we are so excited for this huge mile stone for her. Her teachers at day care have done most of the work, they have been so awesome with transitioning her from diapers to big girl underwear. She has been so excited wearing underwear and not a diaper anymore. She has had a few small accidents for the most part but she has been doing awesome. She still wears a diaper at night when she sleeps but has been dry most nights so once we finish up with these diapers and she will be in big girl underwear for good. We are very proud of her and can now officially say that she was potty trained at 2 1/2 years old. NO MORE DIAPERS...HURRAY!
Road Trip to Santa Barbara & San Fran - Day's 1 & 2
As much as we love going to Vegas for our mini vacations we decided to take a week vacation and do a road trip from hot and sunny Chandler, Arizona to cloudy and overcast San Francisco, California. We took a week off to drive up the coast of California along with Pat and Howie (my pops) and of course our little princess Lindsey.
We left this past Monday (9/6) afternoon and drove from Phoenix, Arizona to Santa Barbara, California. It was about an 8 hour drive, we finally arrived at our hotel around 11:30pm. Lindsey has an angel in the car, she enjoyed watching some of her movies and finally crashed a few hours before we reached the hotel. She also did a great job without having any potty accidents in the car. We had to make a few extra stops but she was dry the whole way...we were very proud of her. This was a rather tough night as Lindsey and I shared a twin bed and Rich slept on the floor on the air mattress we brought for Lindsey but we were all so tired from the long drive that we all crashed.
We woke up early Tuesday morning, had an awesome breakfast and then headed to the beach for Lindsey to see. This was her first time ever touching sand and seeing the ocean and she LOVED IT! She kicked off her sandals and dove right in she had a blast. We walked all the way to the water and put our feet in the ocean and that is when she freaked out. The water was very cold and she did not like having her feet dirty with sand. It was a struggle getting to come back to the car as she didn't want to leave. We finally left Santa Barbara around 10am and arrived in San Francisco around 3:30pm and again our little princess was awesome. We were all glad to get here and relax and not be in the car any longer. We checked in our hotel The Wharf Inn and settled in. We then walked around this crazy city and had a nice cup of Starbucks coffee and relaxed the rest of the evening.
